Goodnight friends! Broad pale blue sky and a little warmer, long ruler straight shadows drawn out from every linden tree. Topmost orange crowns of beeches starting to look batchy, bare black wires snaking out from amongst thinning foliage. Hollow bamboo percussion of yew trees, crowded sun-gilded spires speckled with coral red berries, shaking and clacking against each other in a rough shivery breeze.
Gentle and lethargic start after a shallow, aching attempt at sleep. Apart from some surface soreness, I didn’t feel any strong side effects from the double vaccinations I wouldn’t have expected from the effort of going out to get them, so I risked a go at judo. Took things as steady as I could, and came away not too dissatisfied with my efforts.
May we treat each other with care, kindness and attention today!
