Goodnight friends! Air feeling a little sharp again, 12°c and hazy with a broad filmy smudge of sunlight breaking partway through pearly clouds. Wasps patrolling the tussocky mazes of drooping grass, maybe searching for overripe fruit as their colonies drift towards torpor. Gold beginning to overtake green, hawthorn hedges a riot of yellow and purple and murky crimson berries, rounded leaves on swaying linden branches looking ever more like a cascade of coins held in an eerie moment of suspension.
Maintaining a slow but steady pace still, a rare set of a few good 5-hour days in a row, feeling in tune with my health and not having to dread rqndomly flagging into complete immobility in the early afternoon or being drained completely by eating a meal. My creative output is pretty minor and not towards any of the larger projects I have in mind, but at least my brain feels active, like I might be chewing my way back towards them bit by bit.
May we treat each other, and ourselves, with honesty and compassion today!
