Goodnight friends! Faintly smoky, washed out autumn light for most of the day with only a few smudgy streaks of blue. That same kind of deceptively sensation of chill, feeling a little bitter despite objectively being a fairly placid 14°c. Leaves all seeming to curl and smoulder redly at the edges, silver-rimmed tails of squirrels boucing at the corner of my eye wherever I look.
Recovering today, nothing unusual, just some regular aches and pains and a spike in fatigue – pretty encouraging actually, confirming my recuperation schedule from the weekend trip was fairly well mapped out. A relaxed and cozy dinner date night with my girlfriend making our first soup of the season, an impressively creamy-tasting leak and potato fortified with spinach and chickpeas.
May we find ourselves ready to play and experiment and make mistakes today!
