Goodnight friends! Murky, muggy white sky through most of the morning and early afternoon with spates of ghostly silent drizzle that only revealed themselves as a faint writhing static texture against the trees. Cooler, which was a relief after the opressive humidity recently, and a quiet day marked by the soft determined scrabbling and chisel-like gnawing of squirrels in the trees above.

Hopefully starting to acclimatise to the new normal of early autumn a little, along with a less resolutely rain-soaked day. The higher pain level is there, and I’m clumsier and slower than I wouls like, byt I’m able to be active. Some drawing, got to do a walk and some stretches – which recently I’ve often had to take a break from for a good few days each week while recovering after judo – long breaks in between, but feeling pretty accomplished.

May we find new patterns of living that nourish and inspire us today!
