Goodnight friends! A similar atmosphere of dull ashen skies and grey pressure building to downpours, brief spates of heavy rain that ebb into soft drizzle. Today though the pattern recurred a few times over before grey clouds began to dissolve, in the south and east at least, into skeins and fish bones, great long slow pulses of brightness and gloom. Thin keening squeaks of parakeets as a loose knot of them sped away far overhead. More fantastical galls, a few fallen acorns transformed into scaled, bud-like structures by artichoke gall wasps.
Mostly tge day was all about carefully organising and marshaling my energy for the medical trial screening call, which I think went okay, though there’s naturally quite a few more steps and hurdles left to go until I might actually end up a participant. Fitful changes in the weather aggravating the aches in my joints.
May we open ourselves to new ideas and experiences today!
