Good afternoon friends! Longer, more definite break from rain today. The bubbling roar of flood has subsided somewhat and tracks are passable again, a greasy grey flotsam of waterweed, cans, and bottles lining the banks. Again a shifting, transitory blue sky full of twisting ribbons and smoke-grey plumes. Hopeful half-dreamt blue and orange flash of a kingfisher over the ebbing water.
Fatigue lying heavy again, but the hours of the day don’t feel so tractless or hopeless. Teetering optimistically on the precipice of longest night.
May we find unexpected joy today!
