Goodnight friends! Still getting warmer, I think this afternoon’s 34°c might be the peak of this mini heatwave. Beetle-shining ripe blackberries mutliplying, haws and bryony berries reddening fast – I imagine them glutting on solar sweetness. Long coppery fingers of sunlight sliding between the slenderest cracks in even the deepest corners of ivy-clad shade from a pale, hot cloudless sky, the air tasting of straw and hot concrete.
A little more comfortable in my body, but still a constant swollen bee-sting feeling of itchy, panicky pain radiating out from my joints, and deep general fatigue continuing. Foggy sense of unreal detachment and incoherence coming in waves. A friend came over and helped me with some of the wobblier periods and made sure I got something to eat.
May we find ways to build and share care amd community today!
