Goodnight friends! Cooling down a little, peaking at about 22°c, but even more close and stuffy. Warm, stifling breezes piling and rolling and scattering banks of murky cloud, brief, long white slashes of light flickering across the drooping green and silver meadow. Grass undulating like a tidal wash, hissing in counterpoint to thd chrr-chrr-chrr of grasshoppers. Rain again late in the day, diffusing a little of the membranous tension, this time a heavier, determined morse rapping.

Very tired, and feeling the low pressure ache deep in my joints as well as the nauseous pain of post exertional malaise – a delayed aftershock of going back to judo after a break, partly. A good show of my mental confusion is that I’m having to re-write this entry the next day – I was so dazed by the time I came to write it that I ended up pasting the photo descriptions twice, the second time over the actual entry, and didn’t notice.

May we find renewed, determined fascination with the world and desire to learn and grow today!

Image ID: Photo of a chaotic surly sky, hints of smeared sunlight breaking through looming, half-crumbling layers of grey and white cloud.

Photo of flowering brown knapweed, a bloom similar in shape to a cornflower with a bristly central corolla surrounded by an outer ring of long thin petals forked like tongues of flame, except that it’s bright thistly pink rather than purple or blue.
