Goodnight friends! Heatwave still swelling, maybe at the peak for now at 31°c through the sultry late afternoon. Still 18°c now, late into the night. A sun-drunk, probably salt craving comma butterfly, toothed and scallop-edged orange wings ablaze, fluttered around me for several minutes, alighting twice on my wrist. Linden seeds fall, spinning like drillbits on their parachute leaves, to litter the grass with curled, dry fawn scraps. Honey buddleja scent thick on the meagre breeze.

Recovery ticking gently along about as well as I could hope. Feeling as good as I could expect to, laying about in the sun, going half speed and allowing warning pangs of pain to slow me down further. Some small moves towards getting back into a stretching routine.

May we find ways to help, support and uplift each other today!
