Goodnight friends! We finished up our Kew tour, visiting the colossal chestnut-leaved oak, the rare sapphire dragon tree and the humid, hectically lush palm house in blazing heat. Temperatures topped out at 26°c around London. Fortunately travelling back home to the midlands in the afternoon its ended up a little cooler, though the forecast is suggesting we should brace for up to 30°c or above by the end of this week.
Crashing a little today, unsurprisingly after this third significant outing within 6 weeks or so. Thinngs were spaced out by recovery periods but I can feel a cobwebby accumulation of strain nonetheless. Having my girlfriend act as my carer, and having access to my wheelchair were pretty vital for this weekend to happen, though the cognitive load and energy spent getting around was still intense. Planning to spend the rest of this week at least recuperating.
May we find strong bonds of trust, respect and admiration today!
