Goodnight friends! Warm, around 17°c, but mostly grey and humid with threats of drizzle, the sun a wan pearl barely cutting through the clouds. Aptly names tall oat grass growing tall enough it places to tickle my eyebrows shaggy unkempt corners of meadow speckled with silver and gold and purple as seedheads swell and spread and split.
Still bone weary, with a haunting edge of nausea to the malaise, but definitely I can feel a slow trajectory of full recovery developing. I think partly this is just more lived experience, but also gradually more consistent exercise and physical stress in my life giving me both more familiarity with this kind of process, and a deeper pool of resources to draw from. Judo out of the question of course – or even any moderate exertion for a few days yet – to keep a controlled crash from becoming a relapse. Slow, slow, steady.
May we find refreshed delight in familiar sensations and experiences today!
