Goodnight friends! A break in the clouds and a beautiful sun-drenched day, 16°c and with light so sharp the world seems all made of finely cut angles and hot, urgent primary colours, the flaking of tree bark looking like the deep grooves on a snapped flint. Went for a small anniversary day trip with my girlfriend out to a bluebell wood, not the peak of the flowers for us but still a spectacular day. Stooping ochre-winged buzzards, scarlet peacock and flashing orange-tip butterflies floating above meadows. Ground-ivy and red campion and yellow firework blaze of wild mustard and ragwort.
May we find a sense of adventure and playfulness in our lives today!
