Goodnight friends! No rain but a ragged and sometimes ominous sky. Not too warm either, with a wind that could feel refreshing one moment and a chill scraping bluster the next, balling clouds up into great gloomy obelisks then tearing them to pale slivers. The treetops, canopies slowly filling in, became like the pelt of one great restive green animal, swaying and bunching into one long sinewy curve before springing apart and upright. A rocking chair creak and groan of timber under tension.
A few twinges and slight aches, but no major post-judo mishaps. Resting up mainly, doing not too much and doing it slowly. Cooked a fun, simple dinner with my girlfriend. Small and simple, reconnecting to a sustainable pattern.
May we find power and purpose in community and solidarity today!
