Goodnight friends! Hot white blaze of sunlight and the downiest, slightest haze of cloud cover paling the fierce vast blue sky. Temperature spiking up to 22°c in the afternoon, sheer pressure of the heat feeling like the comfortable weight of a rucksack across my shoulders. Daffodils passing their best, shrinking and curling and crisping into fibrous pale yellow husks. The later blooming ornamental cherries are huge moulds of foamy pink, and in their shade the tiny white cruciform flowers of garlic-mustard are blooming too. A breathless kind of quiet in the simmering air, the forecast suggesting a break in the weather soon.

Everything seeming a bit more measured and easier to deal with, rested a lot yesterdays and some got more sleep. Pain much more predictable and manageable, enough energy for a nice walk, stretching on the grass, and a bit of drawing progress too.

May we find a deepened sense of purpose and direction in our lived today!
