Goodnight friends! A similar kind of warmth today, not quite as hot as the deep knife edge shadows and huge blue sky might lead you to think. As soon as you step out of direct sunlight there’s a slight breezy chill. Tulips beginning to open up, deep goblets filled with solar yellow. Hawthorn hedges filling out with fluttering softly lobed foliage, that warmed sugar scent from the cherry laurel and barberry flowers. Glinting, precious enameled confections of hoverflies like intricate jewelers models of themselves.
Really enjoying these days where I can do my stretches out on the plush mossy grass. Did my first pass at assembling a papercraft mask pattern my girlfriend and I are hoping to wear at an event in the summer. Definitely a fun and interesting project, but not the kind of sustained effort and attention I can sustain easily, and I had a long lounging evening to recover.
May we find joy and self-expression by taking on new challenges and learning new skills today!
