Good evening friends! The world twangs and creaks and rattles and strains. The same chill painful wind slicing through bare canopies and the shaggy shaking bulwarks of yews. This time it also brought a damp, looming blanket of cloud and brief, abrupt spatters of drizzle. Lone silhouettes of great long winged gulls teeter in the buffeting grey air. Cautious flowers already looking ragged and work out, trembling specks of colour in dim light.
The grim overcast sky brought a renewed hot immediacy to the pain in my joints, though I think I still managed not to sleep too badly and was a little mobile in the morning. I’ve flagged and recovered a few times, had some food and taken a walk, but even these pretty routine things felt bruising, effortful. My girlfriend will be sleeping over so I think I’ll try to get all the little things I want to do finished, and be in a good position for a relaxing end to the day together.
May we find community, understanding and acceptance today!
