Gooodnight friends! 7°c or so by the thermometer, but cheeks and ears and fingers ache from the sour rough force of the wet wind. Crows move fast gliding on the gusts but with twitchy, tremulous trapeze nerviness. Kindling rattle of dead dry leaves, shuddering on twigs and seething in clumps against drains and kerbs. Some brief spates of rain but the sky is lively and tattered, too just bluster for clouds to settle long.

Overnight rain kept my sleep hopelessly muddled, but otherwise my body isn’t reacting so badly a steady sense of recovery. Got out earlier in the day, moving with a bit more confidence and ease, and a few little bits of creative and household work once I got in again too.

May we treat each other with care and thoughtful patience today!

Image ID: Photo of variagated holly foliage, deep, dark glossy bottle green with ivory yellow edges. The stiff leaves show a variety of forms from the classic scalloped spiky holly shape to others reverted almost entirely to the classic almond leaf form, sometimes with a few stray asymmetric spines, and many steps between.
