Goodnight friends! Bright again, though much colder, breath steaming away into a sky so vivid and empty that scale disappeared, passenger jets overhead looking like toys. Melodic cackles and warbling of songbirds have a piercing clarity in the crisp, hard air. Fitful and furtive signs of fresh growth taking advantage of the light, luminous translucent leaves surging up past drab foliage greying with age and frost.
Still a little recovery to do, and the grinding of cold in my joints disrupting my sleep and slowing my day. Drawing a bit, writing a bit, balanced with household tasks and scheduling – all in all, I feel some slight returning sense of creative drive.
May we find moments of experience worth feeling grateful for today!
