Goodnight friends! Clean and sharp with a thin cutting breeze, holding just above freezing. Still lingering patches of grey crunchy ice in shadowy corners. My walk accompanied again by the cat’s-eye half circle of a daytime moon, peering coin bright between scattered claw-edged curls of cloud in the blue sky. Foxes pretty active today, casually pacing across lawns and between hedges, barely concerned beyond share passing glances by their taller neighbours.
I felt well enough after a few slow-paced days to try going back to judo. Glad to start feeling fitter after a few wobbly days. The first session back of the new year was unsurprisingly a bit of a shock, so many little things and details have had time to filter out of memory and the slight slippage of cardio felt very obvious. Nerve-wracking but rewarding to be renewing this part of my relationship to my body.
May we find spaces of safety and welcome to share our full selves with honesty and vulnerability today!
