Goodnight friends! Snow contined on and off overnight, a few dense, granular centimetres deep still in the morning, enough for each footfall to land with that crisp snap and compressive grind. Little indecisive asterisks of bird tracks, round fox pad divots meandering along hedgerows, tiny rice grain divots of fitful drizzle. Slurping, sloshing chocolatey sludge of slush wherever cars or more numerous walkers have gone before.

A gentle walk in the park and afternoon date with my girlfriend, the first maybe since before christmas. Needed some recovery time afterwards, but didn’t feel broken down or too dazed. Feels like part of the process of hopefully resetting into the regular rhythm of the new year. If things keep improving, looking forward to being able to get back to the Monday role-playing group and to judo.

May we work with communications and compassion to build and maintain healthy, nourishing relationships today!
