Goodnight friends! Chilly all day, beneath a still, silent rumpled bedsheet of a sky, breath pluming in front of my face, a thickly grey veil in damp grey air. Inexorable pointed tendrils of moss crept across stone walls, cackling magpies in the trees. Then, as full dark fell a hushed muttering of sleet started up, and before long became the deep, fluttering half-silence of snow. Over 3 cm seems to have fallen by the time I got to bed, carved into by the severe white arcs of a few sets of car tyres.

Feeling a little more energetic again despite some grinding aches from the cold. Some time drawing and polishing things up in the late morning – was able to deliver a gift art for a friend’s birthday. Took a regular length walk, though there was a little immediate backlash it wasn’t too far from the norm.

May we grant each other, and ourselves spaces for idle pleasure and relaxation today!
