Goodnight friends! A bright and freckled azure morning sky, cooler but still just about in double digits, wind cold but not strong enough to feel harsh. Clouds gathered and thickened over the day, not in too heavy or menacing a way but becoming a smooth light milky grey. This soft haze sank down as a faint mist that glowed around each lamppost and took on the murky burgundy of reflected urban light spill as night fell.

Over to my girlfriend’s house for a slow meal and some boardgames with friends, pretty simple and relaxing. Felt good to be able through a few days of slow preparation, to be able to contribute a roasted squash to the communal lunch spread. My social battery ran flat after a bit so I spent the evening relaxing by myself at home, a nice balance of feeling like a holiday and a regular Wednesday.

May we recognise ourselves as we are in this moment with compassion and understanding today, and allow oursleves to change and grow into tomorrow!
