Goodnight friends! Had to stay in waiting for a package, so didn’t get outside until about 4:30PM, when of course everything was swallowed by darkness, the sky a strange, dank plummy colour and full of drifting pinprick drizzle. Car headlights sweeping across the gravestones make illusory flickering zoetrope figures rise and leap and tumble back to the ghostly glistening grass.
A slow day, joints protesting the damp still but also trying to ‘pre-rest’ a little as I packed, off to a sleepover party for a friend’s housewarming. Ideally I would have managed a bit more sleep than usual, but it’s still damp and I’m a little nervous about the travel and exertion, so no dice.
May we find a deepening sense of calm and confidence in our ability to weather the challenges the future may bring today!
