Goodnight friends! Storm seems to winding down. There’s still some alarming buzzing and rattling from the walls every now and then, and moments of wild shivering from the trees, but mostly what seems to be left taking stock of the damage. A sharp and bitter 6°c, gritty taste of rain in the air though only falling in brief clattering showers.
A little lethargic from going out yesterday another night of disturbed sleep. A strange sense of dislocation too from today’s main mission – excavating files and media from my 15+ year old PC, the digital equivalent of opening an attic trapdoor to unleash a torrent of compacted love letters, CDs, VHS tapes, textbooks and school reports. Pretty rare for me to experience the sheer compressed psychic weight of my personal history like that.
May we find support and strength in friendship and shared community today!
