Goodnight friends! A flat, sullen whitish sky with a mottling of pale grey that slowly darkened, layer on layer of damp cloud gathering glower and lower. Soft simmer of rain gradually hardening to a bubbling boil and then a clatter come evening, when the growing puddles were a dizzy pulse of black and sulfurous orange stripes as dense bands of intersecting ripples caught electric lights.
I could feel the hard rain coming for most of the day, a feeling of slow icy abrasion in my joints that gnawed at my sleep-deprived brain. Hard to get up, hard to get moving, but gradually managing to tune it out a little as the day wore on. Sleep is still very hard to find though.
May we find rest, relief and ease today!
