Goodnight friends! Much more gentle day again with fat less walking, fortunately – a short and cautious trip to a nearby town to take a look at some historic buildings and nose around in charity shops. Legs definitely feeling weak, a general hard to shake muzziness to my thoughts. Access to the warm pool definitely helps to ease the worst of the settling fatigue pain – and seems to be helping me rebound a little easier, as does the milder, drier coastal climate.

A dull morning again, clearing around midday. Briefly warm and bright in the afternoon, but a sharp chill wind quickly picked up as the sun dipped. Fleabane clinging everywhere to battered old sandstone, and the sweet fruit and almond scent of Mexican orange blossom in its second flowering.

May we find a healthy balance between time spent within and outside of our comfort zone today!

Photo of the sky just after sunset, an eerie pastel rainbow with a pale greenish yellow glow along the horizon behind silhouetted shaggy hedgerows and bare trees, while higher up patches of peachy pink glow among mottled pale grey clouds and deep blue sky.
