Goodnight friends! Sky still with an ashen cast, but lighter thanks to the return of wavering bands of blue iridescence between the clouds. Air felt dry, though undergrowth and piled leaves are damp and thick with the sour musk of decay. With the clock shift sunset doesn’t even wait for half-past four so most of the afternoon was cast into slow, thick amber forgelight. Each lone leaf on a pavement cast a long luxurious indigo train.

Still very much recovering, though without many particular sharp pains. Foggy disjointed thoughts, feeling stuck at a cautious leaden pace for now, especially since I also fell back towards bad sleep habits. My slow thinking seems to allow a lot of space for awe, long minutes transfixed and smiling-silly at the golden glint of sunset linden leaves. Trying to absorb, read, listen, look at things I want to think on when I have periods of clarity.

May we find rest and recovery today!
