Goodnight friends! Pretty well shattered by my fairly sudden return to exercise – a thrumming, warm fatigue and exhaustion that while still just as debilitating, manages to feel less hollow and somewhat less painful than the usual sort. I drifted and stumbled a bit once I managed to rise in the afternoon, and everything compressed and telescoped weirdly around me. Just rest, my body rumbles, and it’s easy to listen.
Somewhat dry feeling and a bit cooler, beneath a low flat silent sky of a pale, perpetually twilit opaque grey. The timelessness of the dim flat clouds fit my dreary unfocused brain. Every scrap of colour, from leaves and scrappy pink herb-roberts to the smouldering coral red of yew arils, seemed to float like transparencies above the dull, still world.
May we find tranquility and nurturing calm today!
