Goodnight friends! Warming up still, 16°c for most of the day, brilliant clear azure sky with the heavy-lidded sun girded in cream and apricot clouds as it sank early into the west. Yesterday’s drizzle left fading grasses all sagging and pearled, sparkling. Mesmerising gradients of colour in the treetops, everything doubly golden. A day a little out of any season, autumn’s colour and thick mushroomy wet earth scent, spring crispiness and early summer warmth.
Trouble sleeping returned in force with a damp night, and I’m slow to recover from any effort or exertion, physical or mental. A pleasant and somewhat productive afternoon, but my capacity so low in the evening that I was bored for a while, too heavy and dull to do or think.
May we find a sense of release and acceptance, freeing ourselves from rumination and repetition today!
