Goodnight friends! A heavy, grey and wet start with fine drizzle surging into a clattering downpour. After the sky had emptied itself though the rest of the day felt much fresher, clouds thinned out and damasked by a gentle breeze. Tansy and ragwort and goldenrod shimmering in swiftly drying meadows awash with the thin, high trill of grasshoppers. Walls of barbed blackberry canes studded in darkening fruits.
My first attempt at a Saturday judo session, we’ve been asked to try to attend more frequently as a potential grading approaches – fortunately this time at least it was slower paced and more casual than tuesday evenings. After a long, leisurely afternoon drowsing in bed with my girlfriend to recover we took a walk in the slow diffuse gold light of a warm summer evening.
May we find a sense of peace and stability in our lives today!
