Goodnight friends! Like a gentler, drier alternate ending to yesterday’s weather. Another humid day, about 18°c, with a still, pale grey start. This time though there were no new raindrops added to the glittering rows of pearls resting on the leaves, and gradually grey became white, became a filmy pale blue that split and brightened, and by evening there were clear bands of soft sunset peach along the horizon.
Struggling at judo, for once without feeling too frustrated. I think I often fall into a somewhat naïve idea of being able to attain a healthier emotional or mental state ‘for good.’ By putting myself in the right situations and learning the right lessons a switch will just click. I’m hopefully starting to better internalise that for me ways of perception are mostly matters of practise, returning and refreshing. I feel that sometimes I’m starting to feel glimpses of a humble, open learner’s mind I’m seeking through judo.
May we grant each other patience, gentleness and compassion today!
