Goodnight friends! Relief, more together after a day of more-or-less enforced rest. Re-habituating to the low pressure a little, and my body isn’t ringing so many urgent alarm bells. I still feel a bit like I’m dragging leaden caltrops around in my joints, but it’s a dull and everyday enough pain to think around mostly, and I didn’t have many fugue moments.
A few fugitive ribbons of blue, but they were distant and fleeting among agate-stripes of watery grey on grey. Long hours of diffuse sizzling rain, flowers screwed tight or clamped shut or fraying and coming apart as summer slides into a wetter, greener phase.
May we find space for indulgence and rest in our lives today!
