Goodnight friends! The quiet in my flat makes my ears ring, after a few days of being awakened by a melodic chattering torrent of dawn chorus, the susurrus and snap of wind combing the trees and tugging at tentflaps. Stuffy vague heat, sky grey and corrugated like a ploughed field. The first tentative furled pink tubes of willowherbs and undulating emerald patches of baby’s tears leaves welcome me home.
Deeply, flatly exhausted and a deep discomfort spiderweb-spread my limbs. Trying to be very careful today, gingerly shuffling around my front door for a little bit just to see and feel the world outside.
May we find gentleness and joy in our lives today!
