Goodnight friends! Sky seems to have rained itself out, and fitful winds gave us alternating hours of pale cement grey and frothing scaly blue. Lacy white umbrels of wild carrots (or one of their innumerable relatives) spread over lush, rain-glutted tussocky grass and ragged edged ox-eye daisy leaves frame neatly packed bun shaped flowerheads. Warmer, but the air still feels nervy and saturated.
I tweaked my neck quite painfully in a classic ‘moving casually while sloping closer to 40’ incident yesterday, so I was feeling a bit nervous about judo. Maybe the return of damp and cool atmosphere or the damp air getting into my joints, tumbing me back into bad sleep sapped some energy from me too, because I felt a general malaise for most of the day. In the end I chose to go but take everything slow and safe and careful. It seemed to work out fairly well, and I’m glad of being able to keep up a habit that provides such a contast to most of the rest of my days.
May we find a renewed sense of perspective and understanding of how far we’ve come today!
