Good evening friends! At past 6 PM the last pale grey stripes cast onto the wall by dusky light sliding between the blinds hadn’t quite yet faded. Every wiry, twining bare branch seems tufted by little clenched sprigs of waiting green. Higher highs and chillier lows beneath a resolutely grey sky of shifting tattered layers. Clumps of oaky-leafed greater celandine and feathery feverfew reach and spread in the lee of sheltering stones and trees.

Damper, heavier skies and wavering temperatures brought poor sleep, a heavier weight of aches and shadowy malaise. Quite a bit of pottering about and a few household tasks, so I feel fairly well accomplished in relation to today’s capacity, not much joined-up or creative thinking available.

May we find and recognise moments of achievement, both big and small, for ourselves and each other today!
