Goodnight friends! Splitting the difference between mealy dullness and lancing empty azure, the sky was a softly bleeding blotchy watercolour wash, peachy and violet morning and evening, a dreamy haze of pale blues and greys through most of the day. Diffuse light smudged away shadows while picking out the secretive scarlet splashes of berries and the metalloc gloss verdancy of hardy holly amd ivy leaves. Cold enough still that the air smelled of not much but a faint frosty mineral sharpness.

Another hesitant step forward – I did some exercise yesterday to try to make up a little for missing judo, and tender raw-feeling muscles today reminded me how long it had been since I did those movements. I drew for a fairly prolonged period, for me, felt ideas flowing, and did a little cooking with my girlfriend on a lovely slow stay-home date now I’m likely well past being infectious.

May we find a sense of ease and belonging in our lives today!
