Goodnight friends! Another walk in the park, and better weather for it, the sky mostly a dizzy stir of grey on grey, becoming more churned up and ragged as the day went on until we have broad enough blue rents for long purplish shadows to spill across the gorse and heather. Crabapples strewn beneath the trees along with surreally huge parasol mushrooms, one broader across than the span of my widespread hand like a dinner plate held up by disproportionate twig-like stalk.
After the ramble, although I hadn’t felt too cold or fatigued at the time a thick exhausted chill gradually settled over me. A very benign warning, relatively speaking, that I’d done a little too much, and I curled up under a heated blanket for the rest of the day feeling vague and drawn.
May we find a nourishing, balanced rhythm of activity and rest in our lives today!
