Goodnight friends! A return of crisp, brilliant sunlight, but feeling far more autumnal. Through a window there was a balmy weight and warmth, but outdoors the temperature had dipped into the single digits and the breeze carried a blistering chill. Stubborn oak canopies speckled with brass and gold, spiky bushels of brown keys visible among thinning ash crowns.
A difficult pain day, a surprise after feeling confident and like I’d resolved most of the fatigue from my judo workout. The drop in temperature and the accompanying extra dose of insomnia brought a worse malaise and exhaustion crash in the afternoon than an intense bout of activity had, a weariness without satisfaction that felt like it bled out like poison from my core rather than coming from my muscles and nerves.
May we find rest, healing and recovery today!
