Good evening friends! Very wet and soupy half-lit timeless grey, with a few long coughs of distant thunder announcing the next rain squall, but thankfully cool enough to ease the filmy stickiness in the air. Heavy spongy scent of wet earth and fungus, whole copses of birch-boletes as brown and gleaming as a batch of fresh-baked bread rolls left absurdly on leaf-strewn lawns.

Pretty well exhausted from the weekend trip, legs feeling half lead and half jelly on top of the inflamed tender sensation growing in my joints as autumn rolls onward. By pacing things yesterday and inching forward gently todaybI think I’ve avoided the worst, but I think it’ll still be a few days before I feel in working order.

May we find spaces and communities that grant us safety and respect today!
