Goodnight friends! Moments of brightness and long luxurious shadow when breeze-buffeted clouds tore open, but mostly a much greyer and more forbidding day. Scraps of colour glow like embers, dusky pink yew arils, trembling yellow lindem leaves and autumn hawkbit. Skittering scrape of drifting leaves and an inpatient rattle of raindrops starting up after nightfall, which is slinking back towards 8pm.
A very disorderly and achey start to the day, continuing problems of pain-related insomnia and exhaustion slowing everything down until I found a little equilibrium. After that it became a kind of recovery day, trying to savour things, a bit of drawing, chatting on the phone with my sister for a bit.
May we listen closely to our bodies and hearts today, and take things at our own pace as much as we can!
