Goodnight friends! Very wet and palely grey, both of the slowly and thoroughly saturated type – ineluctable damp and greyness that only come from long slow hours of very fine drizzle from endlessly patient low-hanging clouds. Thick sour yeasty scent of wet earth primed for mushrooms, the faint gluey slapping sound of the breeze catching at slippery drifts of fallen leaves, dried out and now sticky-wet again.

Hard going for my joints, and an invasive burrowing feeling of chill despite the temperature staying above 15°c. Sleep schedule still bouncing around, but enlivened enough in the afternoon to draw a little.

May we find joy and gratitude in our lives today!
