Good evening friends! Temperature swelling up towards 27°c or so, the air tastes hot and syrupy sweet, laden with the stickiness of buddleja and honeysuckle. Grasshoppers flee in front of my sandalled feet as weightless and flicker-bright in the afternoon sun as sparks from a fire, followed by the seesaw blazing orange gallop of a fox extinguished in the darkness of the yew hedges.
A little light exercise, and some more steps forward in the long process of unpacking, arranging, figuring out. Body felt much lighter and in better balance over a slow warm day with purposefully paced activity.
May we ground ourselves a deep, joyful appreciation for the world and people around us today!
