Goodnight friends! Similarly dingy grey for the most part, though a little brighter and more patchwork in the afternoon, with another pretty display of thin, sharp-edged coppery rays lancing down through cracks in the cloud cover, drawing zigzag lines in the ripples lustrously green-headed mallards leave on the canal. Round green hawthorn buds beginning to uncoil into the first delicate lobed leaves.
Weary and uncomfortable in an aching body, hard to find a position, activity, state of rest that eased quiet but gnawing pain. Brief spates of activity or focus, but not much lasting. I’ve got through though, and had some nice conversations, did a little drawing, looked after myself as best I could. Keeping going.
May we work towards compassionately and carefully recognising the privileges and affordances we have been granted today, and seeing more clearly the structures that have shaped us!
