Good afternoon friends! A foggy, grizzled grey start of cold diffuse rain that left me sluggish and malaised. Fortunately my spirits were buoyed as the air opened up later in the day, a chill and urgent wind leaving wide bright rents in the clouds. The world seemed so broad and expansive, that cold, swirling sky looming above stands of writhing, darkly flaming trees.
A slow settling of my emotions, still shaken but sharp, stabbing bitterness fades by degrees to a sour ache.
