Goodnight friends! Bonfire scent in the air seems semi-permanent now, mingling with the old mouldering sweetness of hay and sour sticky mud. No rain, and most of the chill in the pale grey air today coming from the rough-edged wind. Robins pipe in sweetly plantively rattles through the night, drawing songboundaries around their territories.
Recovery day after yesterday’s date night, a predictable, trying to balance my account with the seemingly inescapable general weariness from walking and standing and interacting with the world. A little writing and chatting, but generally breathed through pain and let time slip by a little.
May we find time and space to practise, and recognise around us, little acts of kindness today!
