Goodnight friends! Another brief heatwave settling in for the next few days, though not nearly such a historic one, hovering around 32°c at midday today. Any slight puff of wind is welcome, the air thankully a litle drier but the radiated warmth off concrete or tarmac or even raw dry earth is almost concussive. Shining white throats of grebes stark out on the water, perversely syrupy green with a bloom of algae, I can’t tell if they’re still trying to build a second nest.
A little bit of everything today, feel somewhat productive and active but mostly just easily distractable, not satisfied to sit down to any activity or task, even ones I was looking forward to, for long.
