Goodnight friends! Hot, and stuffy and grey to leave it feeling all the hotter. Still around 20°c well past midnight, and frequently near 30°c during the day, beneath a streaky pale sky that blazed with a long sticky golden smear of light oozing through the clouds. Warbling oratory of thrushes, beedrone, the clockwork scrape of crickets all muted under a clammy hush, and the thick, faintly putrefying scent of lush vegetation is everywhere.
In case of the more serious heatwave warned of locally tomorrow I did some exercise today, besides the humidity Istill don’t feel in the best condition so needed a few breaks, but not too bad all in all. Mostly lounged around for the rest of the day and took a brief walk in the evening, when the air felt a little clearer.
