Goodnight friends! Had a wonderful date night, left a little sore and slow today from the fatigue of socialising and generally being active and ‘on’, but feeling contented and appreciated. Good feeling.
Incredible sprays of colour among the dense and shaggy green of oncoming summer, a turbid grey-streaked overcast sky doing nothing to dim their vibrancy. Neon pink red campion and yellow bittercresses sway together, flanked by snowy drifts of garlic mustard and cow-parsley and framed by lilac blue forget-me-nots below. Downy dust-grey cygnets join the winding parades of new life on the reservoir, taking their turns pecking at fallen willow catkins between flotillas of ducklings and goslings.
