Goodnight friends! A great grinding release of pressure, if perhaps only a temporary one, as the day started with several clanging, wind-whipped spates of rain. The simmering smell of damp soil drying under fierce sunlight from a blue sky. A fox’a wedding scattering of sunshowers, and willow trees spotlit by brightness against great iron bulwarks of brooding cloud along the horizon. Wild low-lying thickets of the first vicious-looking sawtoothed leaves of giant hogweed, within months some of them’ll be taller than me.

Very sore and heavy again in the first part of the day, noticably more active and energetic while the sky cleared. Not too much of the day left by then, but I feel like I filled the time well. Did a little creative stuff, and took a long slow walk, saw a rainbow.

May we find and nurture kindness and compassion within and around us today!
