Goodnight friends! Perhaps one of the wildest and most extravagantly varied days of weather so far this year – an opressively bland, dim grey start gave way to a sudden drop in temperature accompanied by blistering gusts. These first cleared the sky then brought a new and darker band of cloud which rained and, in several brief noisy flurries that drove down at a sharp 30° angle, sleeted, then snowed. Chilly fury spent but wind still blustering, the clouds passed and the tail end of the afternoon began to warm a little, a dazzling pale sky empty of any evidence except for the daintiest puffs of airy cloud. Succulent violet-edged white magnolia petals strewn thickly across lawns.
A lot of diffulty moving and thinking today, painful, creaking body rebelling against rapid changes in temperature and pressure. Couldn’t even manage to get out of bed until mid afternoon when things had settled down.
May we find a sense of gentleness and forgiveness for each other and ourselves today!
